My thoughts

September 9th 2022."Father of allopathy of Pokhara Dr. Kumar S Rana is  no more with us" ...All of a sudden I felt the void an emptiness. Now I stand by myself all alone ,couldn't believe for a second that I am left alone in this world without my father who was my truest friend, a mentor, a teacher, a guide and what not? As I looked back this 10 years time was my most difficult times .Many ups and downs I had to face but of course there were couple of  happy and proud moments too....But I am writing this in context after I lost my  dearest father who not only was a hero an ideal for me but for a lot of people in our family and in and around Pokhara where he dwelled for almost 50 years.

He was born in Palpa Durbar in the year 1995 BS .He was the third son of  Shree Dhairya  SJB  and Rani Padma kumari   Rana (grandson of Field Marshal Shree 3 Ruddra sjb Rana ).My grand parents always used to talk about his well behaved manners ,studious attributes , talented skills and down to earth nature which was very popular in our family then. My granny proudly used to announce that they never ever had to pay a penny for his education as he would always win scholarships. I recall her saying that my father was forced by his grandfather to kill a deer. Hunting used to be their pleasure and pride in those days.. my father being very compassionate kind refused to kill the poor animal for no reason. But his grand father made him kill the caged deer or tiger I do not remember...and after a shoot he cried for a long long time. She then told me "he was destined to save so many peoples life so how could he be interested in hunting?."

He used to be always be seen with books in his hands .He was very fond of reading . There were many  family members living inside the palace so teachers and  professors  used to come to the palace to teach all the children there . one fine day he humbly  asked his mother if they could  send him to boarding scholl for his further studies as he was very keen on learning . So he and his elder brother were sent to Birla Mandir ,Nainital.

Dr. Kumar S Rana a humble and kind hearted doctor who served his patients tirelessly for years and years. He would help the needy and poor and used to give them money to go back home. There was a belief one touch of him would cure any disease.
